In celebration of the 25th anniversary of School Library Media Activities Monthly(now under the name School Library Monthly), hear from long-time authors, Barbara Safford and Danny Callison, and founding editor, Paula Montgomery. Interviews with each provide an interesting overview of their experiences as library media professionals and as long-time contributors to SLMAM.

Barbara Ripp Safford

Barbara Ripp Safford has recently retired as associate professor at the School of Library Media Studies, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls and as long-time author of the “Reach for Reference” column for SLM. She has been a middle school and elementary school library media specialist in Maryland, a high school media specialist in Ohio, and a public library director in Pennsylvania. The interview with Barbara is the first in the series to be posted.
