AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR ALMANACS
The SLM Author and Illustrator Almanac presents web resources for children's authors and illustrators for each day of the month. The Author and Illustrator Almanac is published in each issue of School Library Monthly.
On the website, a new Author and Illustrator Almanac is posted for the current issue and an archive of past Almanacs are maintained for your use. Select the file that you want to view from the links on the right.

EVENTS ALMANACS
The SLM Events Almanac is comprised of monthly events and birth and death dates of famous people. Brief curriculum-related learning, idea starters are offered for particular days of the month (birthdays, holiday, historical events, etc.) The SLM Events Almanac is published in each issue of School Library Monthly.
On the website, the SLM Events Almanac for the current issue is posted and an archive of past Almanacs is maintained for your use. Select the file that you want to view from the links on the right.

If you are having trouble opening the Almanac, try:
- updating to the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html
If you are using Internet Explorer and have trouble Save the File to your hard drive and open it with Acrobat:
- Click on the link to the PDF file with the right mouse button.
- Choose 'Save Target As'
- Specify a location on your hard drive where you want to save the file. Click Save.
- Start Adobe Acrobat. Choose File > Open then go to the location where the file is saved and choose 'Open'.
