School Library Monthly Advisory Board

The function of the School Library Monthly Advisory Board is to help maintain and advance SLM as a professional magazine for school librarians. The board members will assist in insuring that SLM addresses current trends and offers ongoing, timely information and strategies that can be used by school library professionals K-12. The following school library professionals are serving on the SLM Advisory Board:

Carolyn S. Brodie, Ph.D., is a professor at the School of Library and Information Science, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.

Juanita Warren Buddy, Ph.D., recently retired, is the former coordinator in the Department of Educational Media, DeKalb County School System, Atlanta, Georgia.

Gail Bush, Ph.D., is a professor of reading and language and Director of the Center for Teaching through Children's Books at National-Louis University, Chicago, IL.

Greg Byerly, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the School of Library and Information Science, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.

Sharon Coatney, is an acquisitions editor for Libraries Unlimited and a former teacher librarian from Kansas.

Kristin Fontichiaro is a library media specialist and staff development facilitator for the Birmingham (Michigan) Public Schools and an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Information.

Violet H. Harada, Ph.D., is a professor in the University of Hawaii’s Library and Information Science Program; 2680 East West Road; Honolulu, Hawaii.

Carl A. Harvey II is the library media specialist at North Elementary School in Noblesville, Indiana.

Judi Moreillon, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at the School of Library and Information Studies, Texas Woman's University, Denton, Texas.

Marjorie L. Pappas, Ph.D., is a part time virtual professor in the Professional Development Studies program, School of Communication, Information and Library Studies at Rutgers University.

Blanche Woolls, Ph.D., is professor and director emeritus of the School of Library and Information Science San Jose State University and Consulting Editor, Libraries Unlimited.

Terrence E. Young, Jr., M.Ed., MLS, is the library media specialist at West Jefferson High School (Jefferson Parish Public School System), Harvey, Louisiana.
