Coming Up School Library Monthly, March 2012
Take a look at the newly updated design of School Library Monthly! We have several changes in the column lineup for Volume XXVIII. Carolyn Brodie is back with the newly titled column "Connect with Books!" Several of the individually named columns will become Features and we have added shorter columns.
Check out our new columns:
- Get Digital—This column will have a series of articles by guest authors addressing eReading tools and digital reading options for students.
- Info Text—Mary J. Johnson will write this column focusing on teaching strategies for reading, interpreting, and using expository text.
- Connect with Books—Carolyn Brodie will provide a selection of both new and classic literature titles for K-6 with website links and suggests for informational and instructional connections.
Watch for some subtle changes:
- Intellectual Freedom/Privacy @ your library will continue but will offer four articles in this volume and will run across from ER: Essential Reads (http://www.schoollibrarymonthly.com/pdf/ERinvite.pdf).
- Notes from the Field continues with more articles under this column and will include the columns Taking the Lead and Advocacy.
